“⭐️REVIEW: Chef Bobby’s Bourbon Tasting Dinner at Ohana Lounge — A Must-Experience Event! ⭐️ If you ever get the chance to attend a bourbon pairing dinner created by Chef Bobby at Ohana Lounge… RUN, don’t walk, to get your tickets. I had the absolute pleasure of attending his Jefferson’s Bourbon Dinner, and I’m still thinking about it days later. From the second we walked in, you could tell how much heart, talent, and detail Chef Bobby poured into this experience. He personally designed the entire menu, prepared every dish, and set the full vibe — the place settings, table layout, napkins, ambiance… every single detail was intentional and flawless. 🍽 THE FOOD — Out of This World • Appetizers: A crab-stuffed mushroom along with an Italian-sausage stuffed mushroom with red sauce. Both were unreal. Rich, flavorful, and absolutely fabulous. • Salad: A beautifully chopped mix of romaine and leafy greens, perfectly portioned and balanced with tomatoes, cucumbers, olives, banana peppers, and onions. The homemade balsamic vinaigrette was next-level (and I don’t say that lightly, because I LOVE a homemade ranch). • Entrée: Melt-in-your-mouth prime rib — insanely tender. The crusted chicken was juicy, flavor-packed, and topped with the most delicious pan roasted tomatoes. The vegetables were perfectly steamed and seasoned, and the potatoes were spot-on… soft but not soggy, just how they should be. • Dessert: A cheesecake that deserves its own award. Light, dreamy, topped with the perfect sliced strawberry, strawberry gel, and a homemade whipped cream that I’m still craving. Truly unforgettable. 🥃 THE BOURBON PAIRINGS Jefferson’s Bourbon sent a phenomenal rep who walked us through each tasting — the aging process, flavor notes, origin stories, barrel finishes. Each bourbon was thoughtfully paired with the course, and the experience felt elevated, educational, and fun. ✨ THE EXPERIENCE Chef Bobby wasn’t just behind the scenes — he was on top of every detail, every plate, every moment. You could feel the passion he puts into his craft, and it made the evening more special than I could have imagined. If Ohana Lounge hosts another event where Chef Bobby is curating the menu… get those tickets immediately. This man knows how to create an experience, not just a fabulous meal. 10/10 — Truly unforgettable. Thank you, Chef Bobby! 👏🔥”
— Katie“The place isn't too large but plenty of space to have a good night out. The have games of chance and darts. They have outside seating...but have never been out there. The place is non- smoking and the food is very good. The staff that we have seen while there is really nice and they pay attention to you!! Oh on certain nights they have "events" at bar...like music bingo and/or trivia”
— Babs T.“Visiting the area looking for "non-chain" hot wing joints. Fortunately came upon Rumors. Seemed to be the closest to a "dive" for the area. Had 2 orders of wings: flavor 1 Boss sauce, which was hot sauce and ranch, heavier on the ranch than hot, but still good. Flavor 2, hot old bay. While nothing unique with the flavors, they were very good. The wings were cooked perfectly, crispy, juicy and hot to the bone. Plenty of sauce to coat the wings and dredge the fries in. Also had hamburgers, which were cooked properly to how we ordered them. Would definitely visit again if we come back to the area. Edit: I used the word "dive" and feel I should elaborate that this was a nice and clean place. It wasn't a chain restaurant and often times,it's these kinds of places that are the best. I hope that I get to visit again as the wings were really great.”
— Keith Myers“We had a very nice dinner experience for our first time at Rumor’s Tavern. The food was very good. The fish sandwich was huge. Also enjoyed the wings (many flavor varieties). Enjoyed a local draft beer from Ellwood City. The service was very friendly and good. The atmosphere is typical bar establishment. The music was very loud so it made talking a bit difficult but this is to be expected on a Friday evening. We thought we were getting our meal in before this would be an issue but no big deal. There is a 3% “pass through” charge. I assumed this was a fee for paying with a credit card but I actually never asked to be sure. We want to go back when the outdoor area is available and try some other wing flavors and such.”
